Getting Your Brows Back… Naturally (+ A DIY Brow Serum Tutorial)

Getting Your Brows Back… Naturally (+ A DIY Brow Serum Tutorial)

BROWSBAK

Thick, Natural Brows are finally making the comeback from the 80’s they’ve always deserved!  And for bushy-browed girls like me, this couldn’t come as better news!  However, since some of us have been tweezing, plucking, waxing and otherwise pretending we didn’t have Frida-esque eyebrows for years and years, it can be hard to get those suckers to start growing.  Brow serum’s can be expensive, and often are laden with chemicals like parabens or dyes or even harsh, skin dryers like sodium.

With that in mind, I’ve created a video tutorial with 5 simple, all natural ingredients that you can do easily at home (it takes under 1 minute prep time!)  Doing this in the morning or before bedtime + taking a supplement like my natural favorite Hair Essentials  (I also mix these vitamins into my serum for an extra boost, as shown in the video) can help to propel you on your way to thicker, healthier brows. I’ve been using this simple formula for over a year now, and have seen the results and benefits of healthier, sexier eyebrows!

Ingredients:

Vitamin E (I pop open some capsules)

Neem Oil

Coconut Oil

Waxelene (this contains beeswax, vitamin E oil, rosemary oil and soybean oil – all amazing ingredients to nurture the skin and hair)

100% Pure Jojoba Oil (this is my favorite jojoba oil so far – totally pure, organically grown and has infinite uses!)

Hair Essentials Supplements, which have shown a remarkable improvement in my overall hair growth.  Let’s just put it this way: I have to get my bangs trimmed weekly!  Truly revolutionary formula created for hair loss, so it works especially well, and the ingredients are plant based and impressive.  It also comes with a 90 day money back guarantee, so if it doesn’t work for you after 3 months, return it with no guilt!

Have you been growing your eyebrows out?  How do you feel about the latest trend?  I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

The Natural Detox:

If you guys can’t tell by my latest video, my 100 posts or the fact that I try to take at least 2 a day, baths are my jam.  When it comes to beauty and relaxation, baths are my specialty, and they’re one of the best things you can do to heal your body!  So I feel well equipped to tell you how to take the perfect bath for detoxing and healing your body, because they are an incredible way to detox, protect and cleanse your precious self of unwanted toxins! In fact, skin brushing and hot baths or saunas can improve blood circulation, lymph fluid function, and help your heart function, as well as help you detox from bad diet, prescription medication, city life, stress, chronic pain or daily toxic chemical inhalation.  A hot bath is the original sauna, original hydrotherapy, original calorie burner and original psychotherapy.  And, given that you have a bath tub and some quiet time, taking a bath is free!  The ritual is safe, soothing, lovely, rejuvenating and ingivorating for the body, heart, and mind.

Think of your body as a party with too many people at it.

Your job each and every day is to rid your body of the extra people – toxins, bacteria, unwanted chemicals that we breathe, ingest and fight against.

That’s where Magnesium Sulfate, bath salts and bath teas – comes in.

Magnesium helps keep your bodily functions running smoothly, including some of the pathways that lead toxins right out of your body. Sulfate helps to strengthen the walls of your digestive tract so that it’s easier to release toxins. As a compound, magnesium sulfate also raises the amount of digestive enzymes in the pancreas. The compound also helps in purifying and detoxifying your body of heavy metals.  Bath Teas are great for soothing dry skin and giving you all the added benefits of tea all over your body!  They’re great for cleansing, rejuvenation and healing!

Healthy Bath Prep:

Healthy Alternatives For Bath Oil Prep:

You can also add Oils to your bath, face, or body before you get in!  Any thing that you have on your body will make it’s way into your precious bath (and anything in your bath will make it’s way into your precious body!) so it doesn’t exactly matter if you put a few drops into your bath water or would rather put the oil directly on your skin!

Healthy Oil Bath Prep Alternatives:

  • Raw Olive Rosehip Carrot Oil  & Lavender Rose Oil – If you’re worried about scars, premature aging, or just hydrating your skin, Raw Olive’s Rosehip Carrot Oil is the serum for you! You only need a few drops of this to protect your skin while promoting cell growth and nourishing it.  The Lavender Rose Oil is just delicious and I love it so much for my body or to add to baths for aromatherapy!  It’ll leave your skin glowing!
  • Lina Hanson Global Body Serum – This is one of those serum’s that’s so indulgent you don’t even want to use it because you know you won’t be able to stop.  It’s like inhaling sunshine and then rubbing it all over your body – leaving it golden.  It’s perfect to add to a bath or to your skin before a bath for extra moisture, as it’s quickly absorbed and long lasting!

oils2

  • Acure 100% Certified Argan Oil – Ah.maze.ing.  Amazing.  So good.  I love Arganoil, my skin loves Argan Oil, and just 2 or 3 drops of this added to a clay mask, topically on scars, blemishes, or for a cleansing and I am good to go!  It also works wonders added to your bath to give your entire body just a little extra moisture and Argan love! This is an UNREFINED Argan oil and is incredibly rich in Vitamin E, Essential Fatty Acids, and Proteins, which is important because once an Argan oil is refined, it loses up to 60% of those beneficial essential fatty acids, proteins, etc.  Incredibly rich in all of these Vitamin E, Essential Fatty Acids, and Proteins, Acure’s Unrefined Argan Oil helps fight lines, repair imperfections, minimize scars + stretch marks; all while restoring texture, elasticity and tone. Lightweight and easily absorbed! This oil is often referred to as “liquid gold” so – as Acure puts it – ” get yourself some beauty bling!”
  • Verità Classic 100% Pure Organic Argan Oil – Another Argan Oil I can’t get enough of because it is SO pure!  Lightweight, smells lovely, leaves skin happy, golden and glowing – I’ll add a few drops of this to my skin and use it as a cleanser in the bath and it’s just lovely.  There are endless ways your skin can benefit!

Image

The Perfect Face:

Once you’re in the bath, you can do some extra cleaning!  I normally put on another face mask while I’m waiting for the bath to fill up to combat acne, attack redness and promote healing for damaged and dry skin.  I use a lighter one than my shower mask, and then cleanse it off in the bath first with an exfoliator, then with precious oils, then top it off with a gentle cleanser.

Healthy Alternatives For The Perfect Face:

  • Acure Stem Cell + CGF Facial Mask for a gentle, light treatment.  Removes dirt, oil, impurities, clears skin, fights blemishes! . French Green Clay draws out impurities while Moroccan Argan Oil, CoQ10 and Seabuckthorn Oil provide moisture. Serious cell repair!
  • So Pure Skincare Purifying & Enzyme Facial for healthy, rejuvenated skin!  Rose clay acts as a very gentle detoxifier, Yellow Clay helps to restore tired, neglected or devitalised skin as well as gently purifying and Red Clay helps with fragile and broken capillaries and “sagging” skin and is good for tissue toning. Rhassoul clay is a spa quality clay and is effective on clogged pores, removes dead skin cells and surface oil from skin as well as improving the skin’s clarity.Image
  • Ilike Organic Skincare Herbal Clay Spot Treatment to heal and repair damaged skin!  Herbal clay removes impurities, tightens the pores, tones the skin, and exfoliates dead skin cells as it reduces inflammation. Astringent clove oil provides antiseptic benefits to heal the skin faster for a clear and refreshed complexion.
  • Gabriel Organics Red Seaweed Gentle Exfoliator is an exceptional skin polisher containing natural bamboo powder enriched with sweet almond oil and Vitamin E to thoroughly cleanse the skin while gently soothing and refining surface texture.  Red seaweed and elderberry flower extract trigger collagen development and offer skin regenerating effects. My go-to exfoliator for removing dirt, oil & makeup and getting a gentle cleanse!
  • Gressa Skin Balancing Cleanser for a luxurious oil cleanse, gently put this on your face, allow to sit for 1-5 minutes, and then wash off with a warm wash cloth!  A woodsy and natural mini-facial!Image
  • DeeVoo Creamy Cleanser is an amazing little Vegan friendly detox cleanser that helps remove dirt, makeup, and dead skin cells without disrupting the vital acidity of your skins pH levels. It also penetrates deep into skin dissolving blackheads, and cleansing pores without harsh, irritating “exfoliators” that can actually perpetuate and cause acne.  Gentle, but extremely effective!

Healthy Alternatives For Soap Time:

Since this is a detox bath, the possibilities of cleansing are endless!  Here are a few soap recommendations to get you started and cleanse and exfoliate your body!

  • Scentsational Soaps French Kiss Soap, Believe Soap or Royal Jelly Soap: I Love these all for a different reason!
  • The French Kiss Soap is a perfect face, body or hair soap!  French Kiss is loaded with Dead Sea Mud, French Pink Clay, Unrefined Shea Butter and Essential Oil blend that your skin will desire more of.  Dead Sea Mud  provides relief for eczema, acne, wrinkles, psoriasis and dry skin.  It improves the skin’s natural regeneration and improves blood circulation. It helps to cleanse skin and remove toxins, dirt particles and impurities.  It peels away dead skin cells, revealing healthier, youthful skin while it moisturizes and helps with skin’s hydration.  It will pull out toxins that may be in your skin.  It is also tightening and firming to the skin which gives the skin an anti-aging benefit, leaving you with a more youthful look.  Dead Sea Mud is also good for your scalp as it will strengthen hair roots, enhance new hair growth and help prevent hair loss.  This is great for my acne, redness and helping blemishes improve!soaps1
  • The Believe Soap Bar is a Vitamin E packed goats milk, Glycerin based soap connected to a good Cause that comes in Lavender or Blueberry.  It helps Support Chromosome 15q Duplication Syndrome. $1 of each bar ordered goes to Dup15q Alliance research. The BELIEVE bar of soap represents the mind set of all parents with disabled children, to BELIEVE in what is possible and BELIEVE in a positive future.  Goats milk contains proteins, amino acids and vitamin A to nourish the skin. Milk also contains lactic acid which helps exfoliate, cleanse and soften the skin. Goats milk has a PH level that is close to your own skins PH, making it very gentle on even the most sensitive skin types.
  • Royal Jelly Lemon Drop Soap is unlike any soap I’ve ever used! Royal Jelly is undoubtedly natures best kept secret. Nurse bees that are between 6 to 14 days old produce this “milk” called fresh royal jelly exclusively for the Queen and the larvae. The queen feeds only on fresh royal jelly. The larvae that consume fresh royal jelly in the first seventy two hours of their life become queens and those that do not become worker bees. Worker bees live 5 to 6 weeks whereas the queen lives 5 to 6 years. Royal Jelly contains vitamins A, B, Complex, C, D, and E with particular emphasis on the B complex, namely, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, biotin, folic acid, and pantothenic acid, which is reputed to bolster the strengths of the adrenal glands and to help reduce stress levels. Ideal for anti-bacterial, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, gout, fights depression, retards the aging process, promotes sexual health…to name a few.soap32
  • Moksa Organics: Mistletoe (Peppermint Cocoa) or Abbey Road – I can’t stop smelling (or using!) either of these!  Abbey Road is a blend of sweet orange, clove, vanilla and english tea blends will transport you without moving from your shower to the green fields and quaint villages of britian. This will fight the blues as well as the blemishes!  Moksa’s Mistletoe Holiday Bar is perfect for this season and smells just like an Ande’s ThinPeppermints!  I can’t get enough of it and will be doing a review on their Holiday line this week because I am in love!

DSC00674

  • Thunder Bay Soap Company: Oatmeal & Honey Soap, Simply Soap or decorative Lake Huron Breeze Lighthouse Soap!  Simply Soap is wonderful, fragrance free, vitamin packed soap and gentle enough for everyone to use – and it effective at cleansing the face and body!  Oatmeal & Honey soap is great for acne, eczema or troubled skin, since it contains a natural anti-inflammatory and tons of Vitamin E.  And the Decorative Soap is just lovely to look at!  I’m sure it cleans very well too, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to use it quite yet! 😉

Natural Shampoo Essentials:

  • Shampoo: Logona Naturals Repair Shampoo, Honey Beer Shampoo – Both are suitable for all hair types, and they both work wonders and I love them!  Repair Shampoo for dry or damaged hair, and Honey Beer seems to work on my hair if it’s thinning, gunky or gross.  They’re natural, sulfate free, paraben free, and lather up amazingly well, as well as make your hair smell incredible!
  • No-Poo: Aquarian Bath Hair Bar is really worth a mention because it was my first experience using a no-poo alternative!  This bar was formulated for use as a shampoo, but it can also be used as a body bar unless you have exceptionally dry skin. These bars were formulated for persons with various scalp complaints. The bars have a powerful earthy scent from the Neem oil, somewhat like peanut butter. Neem is a strong Ayurvedic medicinal tree from India, you can see my trees pictured in this listing. The oil from neem seeds is what I use in this shampoo. This bar has a total of 20% wild-harvested neem oil as well as essential oils of Tea Tree & Patchouli. The dark color of this soap comes from the neem oil.  Neem oil has been a life saver for my skin, hair, nails, and life!
  • Thunder Bay Soap Company Silky Hair Soap Bar has me super impressed!  This stuff is magic!  Thunder Bay’s conditioning shampoo bar contains some amazing ingredients, like Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Brazillian Red Clay & Tea Tree Oil, so it’s no wonder it lathers up instantly and like crazy and makes my hair so, so happy!  My curls are manageable and I barely have to condition after using it!  Who knew no-poo could be so fun and functional?

DSC00677

DSC00727

Natural Conditioner Essentials:

  • Acure moroccan argan oil + argan stem cell conditioner triple moisture repairing Conditioner – say THAT 10 times fast!  Provides lasting moisture to even the most dry and damaged hair leaving it soft, manageable and ready to rock. Safe for color treated hair. Organic Argan Oil + Argan Stem Cells, CoQ10, and Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil–high in Omega 7, make up our patent-pending Triple Moisture System. Organic Pumpkin Seed Oil –high in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, adds shine. Locks in moisture, repairs damage, strengthens follicles and smells awesome!  I love Argan Oil, and my hair loves this!  It makes my curls really functional and fun!
  • Scentsational Soaps Botanical Super Rich Conditioner in Chocolate Honey Decadence – I didn’t think it was possible to be in love with a Conditioner until I met this one!  It provides deep conditioning and root stimulation using Olive, Coconut, Castor and Meadowfarm Seed Oils to add  natural emollience back into the hair shaft, without additional oiliness.  Panthanol (Pro Vitamin B5) and Chamomile give hair body and shine. Pure Florida Honey and Cocoa Absolute provides your hair vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and trace elements that promote hair growth and strength. Cocoa Absolute provides your hair with extra conditioning, nourishment and shine.  Leave this on for the duration of your bath and relax!

Bath Time:

I try to spend about 40 minutes in a hot bath – equipped with cold water and cranberry juice to drink to hydrate me!  The first 20 minutes are to help your body rid itself of toxins, and the last 20 minutes let our bodies absorb the nutrients in the water.  If you feel too hot or dehydrated, drink water & start adding cold water into the tub until you cool off.   You can do this by pouring glasses of cool water over yourself, draping a cool washcloth over your neck, turning on the cold water and filling the bath or spraying your feet with a shower hose.

The Mind Detox:

Put on some relaxing music, get as far down in the bath as you can and let everything go.  This is the perfect time for meditation, quiet thoughts, reflection, and making plans, but it’s also important to be extremely present and aware of how your body is relaxing and grateful for the moment.  This mind detox along with your body detox will help rid your cells of impurities that you’ve been carrying with you.  Taking deep breaths in through your nose and long breaths out through your mouth will help get you to a place of ultimate relaxation.  Enjoy it!

How To Ferment Your Vegetables (& Heal Your Gut) In 4 Easy Steps

How To Ferment Your Vegetables (& Heal Your Gut) In 4 Easy Steps

unnamed
Your gut literally serves as your second brain.  It even produces more of the neurotransmitter serotonin—known to have a beneficial influence on your mood—than your brain does. In fact, up to 95% of your serotonin level comes from your stomach.  It’s actually called your “Gut Brain” (as opposed to your “Cranial Brain”) and is equipped with it’s own resources – breaking down, processing and storing food and nutrients endlessly without a peep. That’s because the Gut Brain and the Cranial Brain are derived from the same embryological tissues and produce the same biochemical – neurotransmitters – which turn nerve impulses into physiological action.

The importance of having a healthy stomach and digestive system cannot be overstated. So many issues – from anxiety, to acne, emotional distress, to fibromyalgia, to chronic conditions, to nausea & mood disorders can be attributed to what kinds of foods we eat.  Eating foods that seal & heal your gut is an important and vital step to staying healthy and to maintaining your health.

Your gut is also home to millions of different bacteria – both good and bad. These bacteria outnumber the cells in your body by at least 10 to 1, and maintaining the ideal balance of good and bad bacteria forms the foundation for good health—physical, mental and emotional.

What Are Fermented Vegetables?

Cultured – or fermented vegetables – are the ultimate superfood.  Fermented foods are potent chelators (detoxifiers) and contain much higher levels of probiotics than probiotic supplements, making them ideal for optimizing your gut flora. In addition to helping break down and eliminate heavy metals and other toxins from your body, beneficial gut bacteria perform a number of surprising functions, including:

  • Mineral absorption, and producing nutrients such as B vitamins and vitamin K2 (vitamin K2 and vitamin D are necessary for integrating calcium into your bones and keeping it out of your arteries, thereby reducing your risk for coronary artery disease and stroke)
  • Preventing obesity and diabetes, and regulating dietary fat absorption
  • Lowering your risk for cancer
  • Improving your mood and mental health
  • Preventing acne

How To Ferment Your Vegetables

If you aren’t accustomed to these foods, you may have to work them into your diet gradually. Many folks – like myself, who snacks on them regularly, really enjoy the taste of fermented vegetables, which really have a pleasantly salty-tart flavor. And just one quarter to one half cup of fermented veggies, eaten with one to three meals per day, can have a dramatically beneficial impact on your health.

What You’ll Need:

1. Knife/Grater.
2. Cutting Board.
3.Very Large Bowl: This bowl should be large enough to hold the entire batch of shredded veggies.
4.Mason jars are all that is necessary for both fermenting and storing the vegetables.
5. Krautpounder: This solid wood tool that looks like a small baseball bat is very handy for tightly packing the shredded veggies into your jars and eliminating air pockets. You can use a fork & your hands if you don’t have one.

What To Do:

1. Select Your Vegetables and Herbs
The first step is gathering up your veggies. Cabbage ( or, as you may know it in its fermented form, sauerkraut) should be the “backbone” of your blend. Five or six medium-sized cabbages will yield 10 to 14 quart jars of fermented vegetables.
Add in hard root vegetables of your liking, such as carrots, garlic, thyme, basil, celery, oregano, golden beets, radishes, apples, turnips: just go nuts! Peel your veggies as the skins can impart a bitter flavor. One pepper for the entire batch is plenty.
Finally, you can add sea vegetables or seaweed to increase the mineral, vitamin, and fiber content.
Once you’ve selected your veggies, grate them into your large bowl.
2. Culture and Brine:
For your brine, one quart of celery juice is adequate for 10 to 14 quarts of fermented veggies. While you can do wild fermentation (allowing whatever is naturally on the vegetable to take hold), this method is more time consuming, and the end product is less certain. Inoculating the food with a starter culture speeds up the fermentation process. You can also add the inside of encapsulated probiotics to speed up the process!
3. Packing the Jars:
Once you have your shredded veggies and brine mixture combined in your large bowl, tightly pack the mixture into each Mason jar, and compress using a masher to remove any air pockets. Top with a cabbage leaf, tucking it down the sides. Make sure the veggies are completely covered with brine and that the brine is all the way to the top of the jar, to eliminate trapped air. Put the lids on the jars loosely, as they will expand due to the gases produced in fermentation.
4. Fermentation:

Allow the jars to sit in a relatively warm place – such as a windowsill, facing the sun- for several days, ideally at around 72 degrees Fahrenheit. During the summer, veggies are typically done fermenting in three or four days. In the winter, they may need 7 days. The only way to tell when they’re done is to open up a jar and have a taste. Once you’re happy with the flavor and consistency, ( if you’ve ever tasted sauerkraut this is the flavor(ish) you’re going for) move the jars into your refrigerator.
For storage, refrigerating your vegetables drastically slows down the fermentation. They will keep for many months this way, continuing to mature very slowly over time.

Enjoy Liberally!

Always use a clean spoon to take out what you’re eating.

Never eat out of the jar, as you will contaminate the entire batch with bacteria from your mouth. Make sure the remaining veggies are covered with the brine solution before replacing the lid.

I want to thank my incredible Health Fairy & Lovely Friend Colleen for introducing me to this lovely way to heal myself and improve my life! It has had amazing and miraculous consequences on my overall well being! After about 1 week I saw a drastic improvement in my chronic nausea, and after a month I didn’t know how I ever lived without fermented veggies!

1. Face Prep is important for a natural, sexy look.  Dramatic eyes with a bare face can sometimes be off-putting, so use a highlighter, bronzer or blush, and something on your cheeks and lips as well.

Skin Prep:

RMS Beauty Oil

Christopher Drummond Skin Prep

Face:

2. Choose Your Colors

You should choose three shades of each color: a light, creamy color, a medium base color, and a dark smokey color.

I went with a blend of Honeybee Gardens Smokey Eye Shadow Palette, RMS Beauty liquid eyeshadow in Karma and Delizioso Skincare Black Currant Eye Shadow, and then lined my eyes with Delizioso Skincare Black Eye Liner Pencil.

I used the Honeybee Gardens brush as well as some home-made brushes to achieve this look.  Green eyes look particularly good with a gray and plum smokey eye, while blue eyes pop with gold or copper and brown eyes go great with shades of navy and gray.

3. Apply Your Highlight Color

Apply the lightest of your 2 – dabbing it on the inside corner of your eyelid on both your upper and lower lids. Sweep it directly under your eyebrows as well, from the beginning to the end of your brows.

Image

4. Apply Your Medium Shade

Apply this to your entire eyelid.  Apply it upwards only to the natural crease on your lid, not all the way to the highlighter underneath your brows.

5. Add your Darkest Color

By making a “C” shape from about halfway inwards (from the outside of your face) on the lash line, back up and around to about halfway in on the crease of your eyelid.  Start at the upper edge of your lash line and work inwards.  You can also do this the “opposite way” on the color spectrum like I did, and have your darkest color closest to your nose.

6. To Add A Dramatic Look

To add some drama to your classic smokey eye, sweep your dark eyeshadow to a point (more of a “<” shape than a “C” shape) towards the end of your eyebrow. Make sure that the darkest point still remains at the outside corner of your lash line.

 7. Blend Blend Blend!!

Clean your eyeshadow brush with makeup brush cleaner or face soap/shampoo and water. Dry your brush on a clean towel or rag by sweeping it quickly back and forth across the fabric. Then, use your brush to blend the colors together, starting with the lightest color and working out.  For the MOST dramatic look, apply your highlighter color directly under your brow again.

8. Add Your Eyeliner

This is the fun part! You can do a smooth cat-eye look or just line the outside of your lashes!

Now, do your brows (no small task for me!), lashes, cheeks, add some finishing powder and you’re done!

My suggestions for those of you who’d like to go the all-natural, Vegan, cruelty free route can be found below.

4 Tonic Recipes For Better Health

4 Tonic Recipes For Better Health

pure-tonics3

Total Body Tonic

Ingredients:

  • Ginseng Root
  • 1 Lemon

To Make:

  • Boil Water
  • Add Ginseng to Tea Catcher
  • Add Water to Tea cup
  • Squeeze Lemon into tea.
  • Drink as a full cup of tea or a shot

Why It Works:

Ginseng’s Latin name, Panax, comes from the same Greek root as our word, “panacea,” meaning all-healing. That’s not much of an exaggeration.  A great deal of research shows that ginseng significantly improves athletic performance and relieves fatigue.  Ginseng also relieves the ravages of stress. Japanese researchers showed that the herb reduces the secretion of stress-related hormones. Ginseng also improves immune function and appears to prevent cancer. University of Southern California researchers report that, in vitro, the herb increases production of interferon, the body’s own antiviral compound.

Lemon is an excellent and rich source of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that protects the body against immune system deficiencies. It helps to flush out toxins and balances pH levels in the Body.

Calcium & Coconut: Probiotic Tonic

My amazing friend Colleen invented this one and it got me over my flu pretty much immediately.  Thanks, girl!

Ingredients:

  • Calcium Ascorbate
  • Coconut Kifer

To Make:

  • Add 1 TBSP Calcium Ascorbate to 2 shots Coconut Kifer.
  • Take as a shot once an hour.

Why It Works:

Ascorbate calcium is a form of vitamin C that is used to prevent or treat low levels of vitamin C in people who do not get enough of the vitamin from their diets.  Vitamin C plays an important role in the body. It is needed to maintain the health of skin, cartilage, teeth, bone, and blood vessels. It is also used to protect your body’s cells from damage. It is known as an antioxidant.

Coconut kefir is quite simply fermented coconut water. This probiotic beverage is very healing to the digestive system and the liver and creates a strong immune system that is ultimately responsible for your good health.

Better Blood Tonic

For better blood health and immunity!

Ingredients:

  • Dandelion Root
  • Echinacea
  • Garlic
  • Goldenseal

To Make:

  • Add herbs to a tea catcher.
  • Add Boiled Water to your herbs.
  • Let seep.  Drink as tea.

Why It Works:

Dandelion Root is an excellent blood purifier that neutralizes acids and has a strong alkalinizing effect on the body.

Echinacea is recognized as one of the most powerful blood and lymphatic cleansers in the botanical kingdom.

Garlic is an excellent blood cleanser, lowers blood fats and is a natural antibiotic.

Goldenseal is also an excellent blood, liver, kidney, and skin purifier.

Better Skin Tonic

For better skin, hair and healthy nails!

Ingredients:

  • Chamomile
  • Calendula
  • Lavender

To Make:

  • Add herbs to a Teacatcher.
  • Add Boiled Water to your herbs.
  • Let seep.  Drink as tea.

Why It Works:

Calendula is a garden plant in the daisy family that, like aloe vera and witch hazel, has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. It is also a vulnerary agent that helps to heal wounds and soothe damaged skin, such as sunburn, cuts and scrapes. Many have also used calendula oil to treat eczema.

Lavender may be more famous for its relaxing effects of the mind, but it also helps to soothe skin, too. It is rich in a compound called linalool that assists with skin healing while also preventing tissue degeneration keeping skin firm and preventing wrinkles. To make lavender even more of an anti-aging wonder, it encourages the growth of new skin cells due to its cytophylactic properties. Lavender also helps to heal wounds, scar tissue, acne, eczema and problem skin. Being anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-toxic, anti-bacterial and an anti-septic just serves to show how incredible lavender is for skin.

Chamomile is one of nature’s miracles. It has an incredible number of benefits, and none more so than for our skin. Alpha-bisabolol – a compound found in chamomile – reportedly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by accelerating the healing process of the skin while also possessing anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory properties.
