It’s been roughly three and a half years since I fully committed to my wellness journey, and truthfully, the very last thing to convert was my closet. Why?
Well, partially because I’m sentimental.

Why organic material?

Happy Motivation Monday!
No matter where we’re at in life, there is almost always something – however small – that is blocking our way. That “thing” normally stems from a fear. A fear of the unknown, a fear of failure, or even a fear of success! Sometimes it comes in the form of resentment, stress, anxiety or sadness. Many of us recognize that we often manifest our fears, but we still don’t know how to stop them!
Today, I talk about releasing your fears. And no – it’s not in a mindful meditation, a mantra or even a sweet little quip! But it is simple, global and highly effective.

Let’s face it – first impressions are everything. What you smell like is actually super, duper important day-to-day. I used to rely heavily on what I now call “mall perfumes” – overproduced synthetic fragrances created from synthetic aroma compounds, often from petrochemicals and can include phthalates. Now my beauty routine, including my favorite perfumes, are nothing but natural fragrances, organic ingredients, and lush carrier oils. Check, please. That’s all I need! I am so, so happy that my perfume collection now includes so many ingredients that I can boast about, that have truly changed the way that I think about beauty and essence.
Here are some of the absolute best natural and organic perfumes that I’ve found!
La Bella Figura travels the globe for the most sustainable plant and natural resources known for their therapeutic value to study, experiment, and incorporate into modern day efficacious all natural formulations. This intoxicating perfume/mood booster is my go-to scent. Every single time I pull this little gem out of my purse and apply it to my pressure points, neck, and wrists, someone gives me a most sweet comment – either asking me what the succulent, floral, beautiful aroma is (blue tansy!) or they ask to take a peek at the gorgeous glass vial. It’s helped my stress levels, anxiety, and I even apply it right before meditation and yoga to put me in the right state of mind. This perfume is comforting, relaxing, and very, very hard to forget! Jojoba oil and rose oil are nourishing for the skin. This calming, organic, sexy scent will linger on you long after you’ve applied it.

If you love roses, this one’s for you! I had been dying to try Los Angeles based House Of Aquarius, so when I was sent some products, including this gorgeous perfume, I was over the moon! Vegan and Organic White Gardenia, Nightblooming Jasmine, and Blackened Vetiver make up this sexy, lush scent. This incredible perfume was inspired by 1950’s black and white movies and the allure of dangerous attraction. I carry this everywhere with me, since it’s such a convenient purse size. I love to apply this to my pressure points – wrists, neck, collarbones, as well as my arms – and I catch myself smelling myself quite a bit throughout the day! This is one of the longest-lasting natural perfumes I have ever tried!
Ingredients: organic almond oil, gardenia essential oil, jasmine absolute essential oil, vetiver essential oil
Speaking of long-lasting perfumes, I recently had a chance to meet and do a short Q&A Katie Hess – Founder and Flower Alchemist from Lotus Wei at The Detox Market in my hometown of Los Angeles. I also had a chance to try everything she makes while I was there – from her mists, to her perfumes, to her elixirs, and I absolutely adore all of them!! Not only is she incredibly sweet, humble, and insightful about wellness, her beautiful and thoughtful creations really, truly work! I had a chance to gush to her about how much I am really loving everything I’ve tried so far, and now I get to gush to you!
Inner Peace is my go-to flower essence tincture as well as my go-to Lotus Wei Perfume. It’s made specifically for inner peace, calm, confidence, comfort, and contentment. Red Hibiscus, Arctic Lupine, Mountain Laurel and Pink Lotus combine to create a relaxing, peaceful rejuvenating feeling that lasts for hours. I love my perfume because not only does it make me smell incredible, it calms me immediately when I am stressed out or having a rough day. I spray it on my pillows, yoga mat, clothes, and inside my car to aid in relaxation techniques. This whole line has been incredibly life changing for me. I encourage everyone to research their flower essences and see what they can do for you!

Made for tweens, but perfect for every age, this Baby Powder perfume from Pinched Beauty is actually a really fresh, sweet scent that reminds me a lot of the Pink Sugar Perfume I used to get from Sephora back in my toxic days. I would compare them absolutely. Notes of Bergamont, Vanilla, Cotton Candy and powder make up this playful, natural roll-on. It’s super romantic and perfect for younger women as well as professionals. It’s so fresh smelling that I also use this “around my pits” for a great, lasting scent on long work days.
Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Natural Flavors
I was introduced to Lurk through Victoria of LBF, and finally got a chance to speak with them at A Night For Green Beauty & pick their brains a bit about their all natural, super sophisticated line! I ended up bringing home some samples for myself, including this sultry, spicey uni-sex scent called TBP V1 ( I gotta give them credit for simplicity!) In my opinion, the notes of black pepper would make this a super sexy on a man or a woman. The sample I got was tiny, but I’ll definitely be purchasing a fullsize soon, since this is the kind of scent I really like to “douse myself” in (put on my clothes, etc. before I leave the house). This is a great scent for date nights, parties as well as work and professional lunches. I hope you picked up your sample at A Night For Green Beauty! If not, the full size is $55.
Ingredients: tuberose enfleurage (Polyanthus tuberosa) and black pepper (Piper nigrum) in a base of USDA certified organic jojoba oil.
